The Thyroid Sessions by Sean Croxton. This is a free online event going on now through May 17th. All you have to do is provide your email address and you can listen to the sessions. General Guide for Parents of Children with Congenital Hypothyroidism (Note: This was published in 2006, so it’s a bit dated. Also, it calls for recording TSH and T4 which puzzles me since T4 can be so unreliable.) We need better resources for parents!

One final note: I wouldn’t be doing my job as a Mom if I didn’t ask you guys for a favor. My oldest son, William, has been selected as a finalist in the Jefferson Awards for Public Service as part of their Lead360 Challenge. This Award recognizes outstanding youth service projects. William has done a food drive for the last 2 years. This year, he raised nearly $4,000 and about as much food (over 3,000 lbs). He is the youngest finalist selected.
